The Treatment Not Jail Coalition (TNJ) is a statewide coalition of reformers, healthcare professionals, advocates, academics, faith leaders, attorneys and individuals directly impacted by the criminalization of mental health and substance use issues. The Treatment Not Jail Act will provide off-ramps from the revolving door of jail and prison for those who are brought into the criminal legal system due to underlying mental health and substance use issues in New York State.
